As we know design is always inspired from art and political surroundings and when it comes to graphic design it directly influenced by social surroundings. And typo plays the key role in all major graphic design movements. But now we can see typo is not only limited with graphic design or publication design or print media, now it making its mark in architecture or product design and also in fashion or garment design also.

If we analysis’s the current political phenomena or social reformation we can see all around the globe people becoming more expressive, they are no more suppressive. Almost people from all corners want to spend a free life where they can grow economically as well as mentally and intellectually where they can speak freely in every moment of their life. May be the raising literacy level of world is another cause of the above reformation.

We can see the freedom of expression in graphic design in interesting way. Actually we can see the application in many layers; sometimes it’s only strong lines but sometimes the application of the copy become more expressive. Even we can see new dimensions in copy writing also, copy writing is no more high end English with the use of flowery words, it’s become more bold but simple direct but more meaningful.

In literature or copy writing also we can see some interesting mix and match of different language. I can’t say it’s a great movement considering the richness of the language or how much it will be expectable for gramatician. But I think this signified the growing free thinking and cultural exchanging around the globe. Now people started respecting their own culture as well as other culture also. Same thing reflect in languages also. We can see the use of new words in English language which are actually borrowed from other languages. This is happening with other languages also. Even the 21st century grammar is also no more left as a conservative custodian of language.

We can’t ignore the role of science and technology in graphic design as well as typography. The latest production innovations is another major but silent factor in typography evolution. We can see the use of very thin and small font sizes in recent designs. Even the use of texture and photographical effect become very common now. Definitely the large use of computer software will also share equal importance. The introduction of new printing treatments adding extra depth in printing. So now the design outputs are becoming more expressive.
